Business Value

Makers can enhance data quality so their users can efficiently process or respond to customer feedback and inquiries by using the generative AI prompts.

Feature Details

Information workers are bombarded with huge amounts of data and spend considerable time reading and processing it daily. A Lot of time is also spent preparing responses to inquiries and organizing information for analysis.

With this feature, data can easily be generated, summarized into information, responses can be prioritized based on urgency (sentiment), responses can be categorized (classify), pertinent info can be extracted (email, phone), and replies can be generated by using Microsoft Dataverse generative AI prompts. This enriched information can be defined and extended as part of the record and can be queried.

Business Value

You can now add your CRM data, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, as knowledge to your declarative copilots and Copilot agents. With a simple add process you can ensure that your Copilot agents are grounded in your enterprise knowledge.

Feature Details

Enterprise data as knowledge is crucial for business copilots. Many enterprises store their data in Dynamics 365 which is stored in Microsoft Dataverse. You can now use all this enterprise data to ground your declarative agents in enterprise knowledge by adding Dataverse knowledge directly in your Copilot Agents. This will enable you to build Copilot agents that understand your line of business data. This capability already exists in custom agents built from Microsoft Copilot Studio. We are now extending this to Copilot agents. This functionality is available while creating a Copilot agent from Copilot Studio designer canvas only.

Users, admins, and non-admins can easily look up Microsoft Dataverse security roles and their respective privileges online in our documentation or ask Microsoft Copilot in Bing. System application users and their security roles are also documented and can be inquired using Copilot in Bing.

Feature Details

Power Platform services from Microsoft ship services, which include security roles and application users, frequently. These roles and applications are automatically documented on our Microsoft learn site with standard and consistent content. Customers can use Copilot in Bing to find the list of privileges in a security role and the differences between security roles without asking a local admin to get into a Dataverse environment to do that.

Business Value

There is a big productivity increase to be gained for X++ developers by using copilot. More than 40% of published C# code was written by Copilot, and we would like to provide similar help to X++ developers. Copilot helps shorten the ramp up time for new developers, which has always been a problem for the business. We're aiming to allow natural language to be used to describe certain workflows.

Feature Details

Use the GitHub Copilot Chat control within Visual Studio 2022 to write your X++ code. There, you can provide natural language tests that describe workflows and have the system to do the work for you. For example, you could write: 'Create a table class MyTable with a Name field and an Age field and create an index over the Name field. Then, create a form that consumes the data in this table,' upon which the system would create the suggested artifacts.

Business Value

This capability supports testing of Power Apps eliminating regressions, resulting in more robust applications with fewer bugs. The tests can be executed as part of the build pipelines making sure that problems never reach production.

Feature Details

The test engine has been developed to a state where it can test canvas apps and model-driven apps from the Power Platform command line tool or directly from the application available as open source.

We have changed the authentication so it's up to date with current requirements. The test engine is built on an extensible platform that allows adding new features on top of what already exists. We're implementing new AI feature testing and other exciting features to come. All tests are expressed with Power Fx in YAML files, making the test engine the perfect vehicle for makers and pro-developers, who can also integrate with Playwright to author tests in C#. You'll find an extensive set of samples and documentation in the test engine GitHub repo and in Microsoft Learn articles.
