Users can view and act on data more efficiently with new grid features in model-driven apps. The features allow you to group and aggregate data, reorder columns, set column width, and complete other tasks with ease.

", "FeatureDetails": "

The Power Apps grid control has numerous functional and stylistic improvements that improve the out-of-the-box experience for users.

Grouping and aggregation

When using the Power Apps grid control, users can group the data based on a single column. Groups are collapsed by default, but users can expand (and re-collapse) groups, as desired. This functionality is available regardless of whether the grid is configured to be read-only or editable.

Additionally, users can aggregate one or more numeric columns in the grid. For each column, users can choose to see the sum, minimum value, maximum value, or average of values from that column. If grouping has been applied, this aggregate value will also be displayed for each group.

These capabilities are turned on, by default, for entities that are configured to use the read-only, grid component (default) and for the pipeline view. For other instances that must be manually configured, you need to opt into this behavior using the Enable grouping and Enable aggregation settings.

Users can group and aggregate columns through the column headers. Options appear only on the column types that support these operations.

Easy column reordering

The Allow column reordering property controls whether users can reorder columns from directly within the grid. This includes the ability to drag-and-drop column headers or use the Move left and Move right actions from column header, dropdown menus.

Updated styling for the list mode

The list mode of the Power Apps grid control has been updated to align with Fluent styling, with changes to font weight and font size to differentiate the importance of each field in the list.

Sorting supported in list mode

When users are using the the Power Apps grid control in list mode, users see a new header row at the top of the list containing a sort icon. Selecting this icon opens a sort menu that allows the user to choose the sort column and the sort direction. This option is suppressed if the grid doesn't allow column sorting.

Command bar for nested grids

The Power Apps grid control, with configured nested grids, now displays the correct command bar when a row in the nested grid is selected.

Column width can be set to a specific value

You can now set the column width to a specific pixel value from the column options. This allows column width to be set by keyboard only.

Option to select all records with infinite scroll

The option to select all records will be available, by default, on all modern grids. When using this option with infinite scroll, a maximum of 1000 records will be selected.

Teams of makers, developers, and admins can collaborate seamlessly using their tools of choice. Native Git integration with Azure DevOps democratizes best-practices from traditional software development so that fusion teams are more productive building and deploying solutions at scale.

", "FeatureDetails": "

Fusion teams comprised of makers, developers, and admins can connect Power Platform environments to Azure DevOps without leaving Power Platform. Once connected, makers can seamlessly commit changes from their environments to Azure DevOps repositories.

Similarly, when developers commit changes in source control, they become visible in Power Platform and makers can pull changes into their environments from within the solutions experience.

Git provides version control, parallel development through branches, tools for code and security scans, granular auditing, disaster recovery, test automation, and more. Unlike previous application lifecycle management (ALM) tools, pipelines in Power Platform and the Git integration are native. They're democratized for all makers, are on-by-default, and drive consistency across all projects.

Users can find, filter, and sort data more efficiently with Copilot by using natural language in views for model-driven apps.

", "FeatureDetails": "

Natural language, grid filtering allows users to quickly find, filter, and sort their data by describing what they're looking for, which bypasses the need for complicated, advanced filters.

For example, if you ask for cases that are high priority with an overdue follow-up by date, this filters your view to only show those relevant cases. Using natural language saves time as users no longer need to use column filters or advanced filters.

Field suggestion by Copilot is a feature for Power Apps makers that helps you choose the best fields to display in your app when you are binding a data source to a control. Instead of using the default fields that Power Apps picks for you, you can see up to 10 suggestions from Copilot that are based on the data schema and the context of your app. You can review the suggestions and make adjustments as you need, saving you time and improving the quality of your app.

", "FeatureDetails": "

When you select a data source for a control, Copilot will analyze the data schema and recommend up to 10 fields that are most relevant and meaningful for your app. If you have more than 10 required fields, Copilot will merge the AI suggestions together with required fields so you won’t get an error when you submit a form. You can see the suggestions in the fields pane and also preview how they will look in your app. You can adjust the order, remove fields, or add more fields from the data source. When you're done, you can apply the changes and see the results in your app.

Customers will no longer pay a performance penalty to call stored procedures by using Power Automate. Action-based apps will be easier to use with better paging and refreshing.

Customers can directly call stored procedures using Power Fx. Customers can add a SQL Server Database object to their data sources, and then access stored procedures actions from the database object. This helps customers avoid an OnStart performance hit by calling Power Automate.

Similarly, customers won't have to move data in and out of collections; therefore, performance is better.

Working with stored procedures is different than working with basic tables. You can't filter the results directly. You may be able to filter the results if the stored procedure has built-in filtering parameters. For more details on how to use this feature, go to Connect to SQL Server from Power Apps.

Your operational health in Power Platform matters the moment your business takes a dependency on the platform. Now that pipelines will have a streamlined setup process, it'll be much more reachable to those with Managed Environments licenses in much less time. Reducing pipelines setup time from hours to minutes, the new capability we call Pipelines for All, enables any maker to provision a pipelines host embedded in the platform for their tenant and create lightweight personal pipelines between their (importable) environments within 60 seconds. Now, makers don't have to wait for pipelines to be set up for them if they have import access to the environments they need to deploy to. This new era for Power Platform ALM truly democratizes pipelines by making them available for all makers with Managed Environments, not just those with active admins who know how to set them up.

Microsoft is bringing copilot tools to more apps and more users. Copilot is already turned on in canvas apps that connect to Dataverse data so there's no special configuration needed by makers or admins. Copilot is available right away when users ask questions and can help them better understand their data. For example, users can ask which employee has the highest sales or which warehouse is out of stock for a certain SKU. Copilot queries Dataverse tables to find answers.

Device-optimized screens increase the performance and reliability of your canvas apps on iOS and Android devices. Some controls also offer improved gesture support and a user experience that matches closer to the design language of the operating system.

", "FeatureDetails": "

Some customers have decided against using the Power Apps mobile app because of low, user interface (UI) performance. Scrolling, transitions, visual glitches, and occasional UI failures are symptoms of a UI that isn’t built for the native operating system.

This feature automatically converts canvas apps from web-based technology to React Native, while keeping all the same business logic in place. As a result, canvas apps feel more responsive, are higher quality, and use modern UI conventions such as swipe-to-delete and have better scrolling capabilities.

Note: We will incrementally use the most popular, UI controls with native equivalents on mobile devices. The top ten controls account for more than 50% of all app screens. The result is less-complex screens that continue to run in the Webview (a specialized web browser) for some time. However, there are some very compelling scenarios that will run 100% as native UI.

However, when it comes to setting up the data model behind the app for suitable business logic, makers, experienced or not, still have to deal with the plain schema view of their tables and relationships as the only possible option. Now, following the same philosophy we bear for app building experiences, we are introducing a new data modeling experience through a WYSIWYG editor, where makers can create multiple tables with relationships from scratch, external data sources, or conversation with the assistance of copilot. Through the new data model editor, tables and relationships will be visualized in an ERD (entity relationship diagram) view, making it easier than ever to understand how tables and various other data objects work hand in hand. Moreover, with the assistance of copilot, maker productivity will be further boosted as copilot makes it possible to create complex data model consisting of several tables and relationships along with sample data in just a few clicks.

Previously, multiple makers were blocked from editing an app at the same time. With coauthoring makers can author and edit a canvas app in real-time. This experience accelerates the app development process and saves time by allowing multiple makers to collaborate and build apps quickly. Additionally, this capability enhances debugging, code reviews, and training when multiple makers are required.

", "FeatureDetails": "

Multiple makers can edit a canvas app at the same time. Previously, copresence experiences in Power Apps Studio let multiple makers access a canvas app together but only one maker was able to edit the app.

The new coauthoring feature lets multiple makers collaborate and edit a canvas app at the same time, similar to the experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. This capability empowers fusion teams to accelerate their app development lifecycle and supercharge their collaboration in Power Apps Studio. Makers can also see their colleagues' changes and presence in real-time.

To use coauthoring, you have to enable Coauthoring in the app settings.

By supporting existing tables when visualizing complex data model, the entity relationship diagram (ERD) data experience will unblock makers to build actual meaningful business solutions on top of their existing data assets. With Copilot assistance, makers can easily find existing tables relevant to their data modeling requirements and build more robust business applications. With the ERD visualization of tables and relationships, makers can review new and existing tables side by side and define meaningful connections between them with a simple drag and drop interaction.

", "FeatureDetails": "

Are you tired of creating new tables, only to discover that they duplicate existing ones in your environment? Say hello to a smarter way of designing data models using the Copilot-assisted entity relationship diagram (ERD) designer. Now, instead of starting from scratch, you can leverage your existing tables to build more robust data models. Here’s how it works: Simply type out your requirements in natural language, and Copilot will craft a multi-table data model that incorporates both new and existing tables. Need to find relevant tables quickly? Copilot’s recommendations have you covered and will locate the right tables in seconds. Once you’ve assembled your tables, switch to the ERD view. There, you can review your new and existing tables side by side. While editing existing tables in the ERD view isn't fully supported yet, you can create lookups into the existing tables in a simple drag-and-drop interaction to define meaningful connections between tables.
