Keeping the CRM up to date after meetings is essential for providing the sales team with the visibility they need to close deals faster. However, the inability to save meeting notes to CRM from Teams often leads to missed or delayed updates due to the sellers' busy schedules.
With Copilot for Sales, you can effortlessly save meeting notes directly to your CRM right after a meeting, without the need to switch contexts. This not only saves time but also ensures that your organization's business data remains up to date and accurate.
Feature Details
As a seller, you can update your CRM directly from the post-meeting Microsoft Teams recap page. Select the Sales button to see sales-related insights. Select Save to CRM to update your CRM by performing the following actions:
- Save the AI-generated meeting summary directly to CRM. You can review and edit the summary prior to saving.
- Link the meeting summary to an out-of-the-box entity or custom entity of your choice.
Meeting summaries are saved to the description field of the appointment in CRM for the sales team to access.

Sales Chat simplifies information retrieval and consumption. Sellers spend less time searching for information in different applications, combining them and trying to derive insights. They can conveniently use natural language to find the right information across applications, analyze the information, and derive insights, all from within Sales Chat.
Feature Details
Sales Chat provides a conversational interface to interact with sales information spread across different applications including customer and deal data in CRM, emails in Exchange, messages and meetings in Teams, pitch decks and product documentation in SharePoint, and much more. You can use natural language to search through the data, summarize the information, and run analysis combining data across sources.
As an admin, you can:
- Configure your organization's Copilot experience to use CRM customizations and terminology specific to your company.
- Set up Sales Chat as the default chat experience for Copilot so that all sellers can benefit from the expanded data knowledge and skills, while having access to all Microsoft 365 Copilot features.

With Sales Chat, you can look up all this information using natural language.
- Ramp up on newly assigned accounts: Go beyond the customer data in CRM. Find colleagues who have engaged with the customer in recent months and have the most context to share. Quickly get the topics that are of interest to the customer and have been part of recent engagements.
- Grow your business and find new opportunities: Identify stalled deals by using Sales Chat to discover open issues discussed in emails and meetings. Find colleagues who have faced similar issues in other deals in the past to get help in unblocking your deals.

Some sales orgs have a sales coverage problem - they have a long tail of unassigned leads that don't have any sales reps assigned. But now, the autonomous Sales Agent works 24x7 to grow your qualified pipeline. Each lead receives a multi-turn engagement from the Sales Agent, which results in a more qualified pipeline, without needing to hire any sales reps!
Feature Details
The Sales Agent engages your prospects in a two-way conversation leading them to a meeting or purchase. The Sales Agent can send outreach emails to a list of prospects (either from CRM or a CSV file) and nurture them until they're ready to meet.
Sales Agent does the following:
- Research prospects deeply.
- Sends hyper personalized emails to leads.
- Follows-up with leads if a response isn't received.
- Responds to questions, handles objections, and asks qualification questions.
- Hands off leads to sales reps.
The primary persona for the Sales Agent is the sales operations manager, since the Sales Agent works like a new sales rep, instead of on behalf of an existing sales rep. The sales operations manager decides the following:
- Criteria: Which leads the Sales Agent should prospect (via a CRM object with filters or CSV upload)
- Knowledge: What does the Sales Agent know about its own company and value props, and also about the lead (via connecting to data sources and uploading files and website links)
- Behavior: How does the Sales Agent behave in different situations (how many times to follow up, tone or length of emails, LLM based guidelines such as 'if a customer asks for pricing, talk about our financing options', handover conditions and guardrails)

Email summaries in Copilot for Sales can now deliver deeper third-party insights, as partner application developers can now tap into richer data like email content, context, and CRM records to improve the quality of their insights. These enhanced insights help sellers catch up and respond to customer emails faster and more effectively.
Feature Details
Email summaries can now show richer third-party insights. The extensibility API now passes more input parameters, such as email body and metadata, message ID and conversation ID, and CRM related entities. Partner application developers can leverage the additional data to improve the quality of their insights.
The same extensibility API can be used to modify both the email summary on the Outlook canvas and in the side panel.
Partner application developers can get started with extending Copilot for Sales using the approach described here and view the enhanced email summary extensibility API here.

As a seller, you spend a significant amount of time and effort going over your calendar at the end of the day or week, following up on meeting tasks and updating your CRM system. This digest will help you save time and effort by compiling a summary of all recent meetings with action items and shortcuts to high value actions such as saving notes to the CRM system, updating CRM entries, and more. You can use this digest to update the CRM system and complete meeting follow-ups, instead of going meeting-by-meeting on your calendar.
Feature Details
With the introduction of meeting digests, you can choose whether you want to receive a recap notification for each meeting individually or instead receive a daily or weekly digest that provides an aggregate view of recent meetings. The digest will:
- Include a brief summary of each meeting and a link to the recap and recording.
- Provide shortcuts to actions such as creating follow-up tasks and saving meeting notes to the CRM system for each meeting.
- Highlight meetings that you missed where you were mentioned by name.
You'll be able to opt in to the digest using the Settings tab in the Copilot for Sales personal app. You'll be prompted to do so by a one-time Teams notification from Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales explaining the feature. You can also choose whether the digest is sent daily or at the end of the week.

As a seller, you can now include account and opportunity record details from the CRM in Copilot for Sales' AI-generated email drafts - both in suggested replies and custom-prompted responses. This eliminates the need to manually search and copy-paste CRM data, saving time and improving accuracy in customer communications.
Feature Details
Copilot for Sales currently assists in generating email drafts by using AI. However, these generated drafts did not reference CRM records, and you had to manually include that information. This feature provides you the ability to reference CRM data (like account or opportunity details) within AI-generated email drafts based on your prompt. When there's a clear intent - either in a custom prompt or within the email content - Copilot for Sales can include relevant CRM information associated with the email (once it is saved to a CRM record), enriching the draft with valuable context and saving time.
This feature is automatically enabled for all users. To get started using this feature, specify instructions in the custom prompt for email draft generation to include any out of the box Account or Opportunity record fields.
This feature supports:
- Out-of-the-box fields on Account and Opportunity records can now be included in email drafts. Custom fields are not yet supported.
- Feature works for both email drafts on Outlook canvas and email drafts in the Outlook side panel.
- The email must be saved to an Account or Opportunity first.
